Empowering young Researchers shaping the future of Pain Medicine

Neuroinflammation is one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving frontiers in biomedical research. Understanding how neuronal and non-neuronal cells interact to shape chronic pain means gaining a deeper insight into human physiology — and its vulnerabilities.

The Francesco della Valle Foundation is now accepting submissions for the 2026 Excellence in Neuroinflammation Award, dedicated to young Researchers under 40 who are reshaping the science of chronic pain.

The Award honors outstanding peer-reviewed scientific articles published or accepted for publication in 2025.

The 2026 winner receives

• Prize money of 3,000 EUR
• Prize ceremony at the 2nd Excellence in Neuroinflammation meeting (Italy, Autumn 2026)
