Il giorno 10 Aprile 2024, dalle ore 14.00, presso l'Aula B dell'edificio A, si terrà un seminario dal titolo "Trauma and psychoanalytic work in wartime".

Il seminario sarà tenuto dallo psicologo e psicoanalista ucraino Prof. Igor Romanov della V. N.Karazin Kharkiv National University e tratterà della sua esperienza di lavoro come psicoanalista e psicoterapista in tempo di guerra in Ucraina.

 Prof. Igor Romanov:

In my presentation and its discussion, I will share with the audience my experience of working as a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist in wartime Ukraine. I am going to present a short outline of psychoanalytic ideas about traumatic experience and to demonstrate their relevance to the current situation in working with soldiers, veterans, refugees, and the “ordinary patients” whose previous traumatic experiences are re-actualized in the time of war. I will pay special attention to the social context of the subject. The concepts of collective trauma, trans- or intergenerational transmission of trauma, as well as the social mechanisms of elaboration or escaping of traumatic experience will be considered.
