Vytautas Magnus University (VMU), established in 1922, is one of the most liberal and modern universi es in Lithuania (Kaunas). The university follows liberal study (artes liberales) policy, which combines the deep tradi ons of a classical university with an innova ve treatment of study programs and science le ng students themselves to plan their studies. Jūratė Žaltauskaitė, assoc. prof. in the department of Environmental Sciences, will introduce undergraduate and postgraduate studies at VMU and research in the Faculty of Natural sciences.
