Biosketch
Fabio Del Missier is Associate Professor in General Psychology, Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neurosciences, and Psychometrics at the University of Trieste.
He holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Trieste. He has been a post-doc and contract researcher at the University of Trento (now Department of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences) and ICT-IRST (now Bruno Kessler foundation, Trento), and an Assistant Professor at the University of Trieste.
He collaborated with the Cognitive Psychology group at Stockholm University (Department of Psychology) and with the Center for Decision Research - Leeds University.
He has been a member of the Graduate School Committee (PhD) in Psychological Science and Education of the University of Trento, of the Graduate School Committee in Neurosciences and Cognitive Sciences of the University of Trieste, and of the Graduate School Committee in Psychological Sciences of the University of Padova.
Fabio Del Missier heads the Memory & Decision Lab at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Trieste. He is currently working on two main basic research lines:
- attentional and memory processes underlying judgment and decision making;
- retrieval and control processes in memory and other cognitive tasks.
He is also interested in applied cognitive psychology (decision support, memory aiding, studies on environmental psychology).
Fabio Del Missier teaches Memory and Cognitive Control and Cognitive empowerment in the psychology programs of the University of Trieste. He teaches also Environmental Psychology in the Ecology of Global Changes Program. More information is also available in other sections of this website.
