The Agrotur project was an Italian-Slovenian cooperation project to improve the quality of Terrano del Carso wine. It involved 4 scientific partners and 2 producer consortia, active between 2011 and 2014, as part of the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Italy-Slovenia 2007-2013. Lead by the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia, it has carried out studies on the quality of the environment, wine and the biological properties of the bioactive substances contained in it. It has created a hotel network for tourism enhancement of the territory and its products.
