Started the 2 of may 2017 and lasting 15th months, the SIDRAN project through the join collaboration of Fincantieri Oil & Gas, the VR-company Arsenal of Area Science Park and the University of Trieste developed an integrated system based on VR technology for the visualization of complex 3D technical design developed with CAD: the aim was to facilitate the design review process in the naval sector through allowing for social interaction within the VR and high standard visualization. The system has been proved to provide innovative functionalities and standards relevant for the optimization of Design Review.
